How can crushers achieve normal production under high temperatures?

Recently, temperatures in many parts of the country have reached over 30 ℃, and the continuous high temperature environment will bring many difficulties to the use of crushers and other mining equipment. So, are there any measures that can reduce the impact of high temperatures on equipment and ensure normal production?

The Impact of High Temperature Environment on Mining Equipment

·In a high-temperature environment, the temperature of the crusher itself will increase, which is prone to unpredictable abnormal situations, such as sudden shutdown, sudden spindle fracture, and other faults.

·Because of the principle of Thermal expansion, high temperature will expand the parts of the crusher, resulting in more friction and deviation at the engagement of each part, which will not only affect the production progress, but also further increase the temperature.

·High temperature environment can cause the temperature of the lubricating oil in the crusher to rise, and the oiliness and viscosity will decrease. Local oil film damage will result in a decrease in the lubrication effect and bearing bearing capacity between components, and even worse, the lubricating oil will carbonize and cause tile burning.

·High temperature poses certain hazards to the engines, hydraulic systems, and circuits of crushing machinery in mining equipment. Hydraulic systems often experience malfunctions such as pipe bursts, joint oil leaks, burnt solenoid valve coils, hydraulic valve jamming, and high noise in high-temperature environments. A system that uses an accumulator may cause damage to the accumulator due to high hydraulic oil temperature. The circuit aged in summer is more likely to cause skin cracking due to Thermal expansion of metal, resulting in short circuit fault. The electrical components in the control cabinet are also prone to malfunctions during high temperature seasons, and key control components such as industrial control computers and PLCs may also experience malfunctions such as crashes, slow operation speed, and control failures.

·Working for a long time at high temperatures will lead to poor performance of the equipment lubrication system, easy deterioration of the oil, and easy wear of various transmission systems such as the chassis. At the same time, it will have an impact on the appearance paint layer, brake system, clutch, throttle control system, and metal structure. It is also manifested in the tendency to generate gas barriers, resulting in the inability to supply oil. High temperatures can lead to a decrease in the performance of the engine's intake system, a decrease in sealing performance, and an increase in fuel consumption due to engine oil leakage.

How can a crusher achieve normal production under high temperatures?

How to reduce the impact of high temperature environment on the crusher and maintain normal production of the equipment in the scorching summer? To achieve normal production of crushers under high temperatures, the following points can be taken into consideration:

1. Carefully carry out daily maintenance and upkeep of crusher equipment. Regularly inspect the equipment, replace butter, adjust belts, inspect core components and wear-resistant parts. Operators should regularly check the values on various temperature gauges during work, stop the machine for inspection if any problems are found, and eliminate them immediately. For those who cannot find the cause at the moment, the crusher cannot work without treatment.

2. Timely clean the oil and dust on the motor body to ensure that the engine maintains good heat dissipation. Although some devices are now equipped with dust prevention systems to reduce the probability of downtime caused by dust, the dust problem will become more severe in summer due to high temperatures and dry air. For example, it is necessary to regularly check the fixing bolts of the conical dust seal slip ring to prevent the dust seal and slip ring from falling off, causing a large amount of dust and mineral sand to enter the machine body, causing the crusher to be scrapped or significant economic losses.

3. To replace the equipment with the appropriate oil viscosity grade, the oil viscosity grade is generally higher in summer than in other times. The motor oil and lubricating oil in various parts need to be replaced with summer oil, with a suitable amount of oil. Regularly check for oil leakage, and replenish the fuel in a timely manner.

4. Check whether the cooling system and fuel system are unobstructed, and replace aged wires, plugs, oil pipes, screws, and tighten fuel pipelines to prevent fuel leakage.

5. During the operation of the crusher, it is necessary to always pay attention to the temperature of the crusher bearings. Under normal working conditions, the temperature rise of the bearings should be within the range of 35 degrees and should not exceed 70 degrees. Maintain good lubrication of the bearings and pay attention to any abnormalities in sound and vibration.

6. Regardless of whether the equipment is in a shutdown or working state, try to place it in a cool place, such as building temporary sunshades, sun screens, etc. to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, which can lead to equipment aging and affect work quality and efficiency.
